Before installing the floor

Modern connecting system means an easy and quick installation. Combined with few basic rules of appropriate care allows to keep our floor in good condition, for many years to come. For our client to be fully satisfied with the product, we suggest following these simple rules:

  • The package, in which the FINISH PARQUET/FINISH BOARD is being sold is not airtight, that’s why you have to be very careful while storing the product.
  • Parquet/boards should be stored in original, undamaged package, in a room with stable temperature at 18-22 degrees and air humidity at around 45-60%. Unpack directly before installing.
  • You should not air condition the parquet/board before installation.
  • We suggest you install the floor on an even, strong, dry and free from cracks surface.
  • Substrate moisture content should be: cement screed ≤2,0% CM, concrete ≤2% CM, anhydrite substrate ≤0,5% CM.
  • Before priming, the surface should be sanded in order to get rid of cement or anhydrite slurry and then thoroughly vacuum.
  • Uneven surface should be even with self-levelling filler.
  • It is best to use a priming agent before applying the glue.
  • Installing the floor should be the last construction activity performed in the room, that’s why you should always paint the walls first. If there is a necessity to paint the walls/ceiling after installing the parquet/boards, the floor should be properly secured with foil and corrugated paper (before doing that, the floor should be impregnated).
  • Securing the floor with foil and corrugated paper doesn’t protect the floor against damages associated with construction works performed in the room.
